I have never created a song before, so this was an experience. I have had a lot of musical background (7 years playing violin jr. high through high school), but creating music through beats and electronic sounds is so different than stringing together notes on a classical instrument. This assignment gave me a new respect for people who create music this way and can make it sound good. Since I am a novice, I stuck to just a few simple beats and tried to string them together. I used mostly repeating rhythms, and added a couple variations. I plan to put this song to a core routine video, so I wanted to have it be more uptempo.
